Gefen Premiers New Extension Modules for 32x32 DVI Matrix Offering Long Distance Signal Extension of Video Graphics
Gefen’s recently introduced GefenPRO 32x32 DVI Matrix now offers exchangeable modules with the ability to extend high resolution displays using CAT-5 or fiber optic cabling. The 32x32 DVI Matrix routes any 32 computers to any 32 displays with full cross-point capability. Resolutions are supported up to 1920x1200 or 1080p for DVI.
Users can select any combination of computers to be viewed on one or more displays. Built-in EDID storage and programming enhances stability of pre-settings after the computers are switched. RS-232 serial control, IR remote, front panel push buttons and IP web based control makes it easy to access and control. Two internal, redundant power supplies enhance performance.
Additional new features include removable modular boards allowing for mix matrix configurations including ELR (Extra Long Range) extension over CAT5 or fiber optic cable. Each offers a method of extending up to eight video signals and can be stacked to create a 32 output configuration for the 32x32 DVI Matrix.
8x DVI ELR for 32x32 DVI Matrix This new module delivers DVI to eight separate locations using Gefen’s ELR technology based on HDBaseT standards. Users can extend eight displays up to 100 meters over a single CAT-5 cable, delivering resolutions up to 1920x1200 with perfect video at the receiving end.
8x DVI FO for 32x32 DVI Matrix This modular sender/receiver system delivers DVI to eight displays using a single fiber optic cable terminated in SC up to 1000 meters. Resolutions are supported up to 1920x1200. Fiber optics guarantee a stable transmission at these long distances with zero EMI (electromagnetic interference).
