Extend HDMI over a single CAT6 cable -- with support for HDMI 1.3

The Gefen Extender for HDMI 1.3 over one CAT6 can extend HDMI 1.3 with support for 3DTV, 1080p Full HD, Deep Color and high-resolution multichannel audio up to 175 feet (50m) over a single CAT-6A cable. HDMI 1.2 is supported at distances up to 200 feet. The One CAT6 Extender simplifies the extension of HDMI over previous solutions which required two cables.

The Gefen Extender for HDMI 1.3 over One CAT6 includes useful features such as EDID management, Deep Color support and equalization for different cable lengths. The extender's digital transmission method ensures 100% signal integrity at up to 200 feet over a single CAT-6A cable.

How It Works

The Gefen Extender for HDMI 1.3 over one CAT6 system consists of Sender and Receiver units. The HDMI source component connects to the Sender unit with the supplied 6 foot HDMI cable, and the Receiver unit is connected to the display with a user supplied cable. A single CAT-6A cable of up to 200 feet links the Sender and Receiver units. Power is supplied to the Sender and Receiver with the included 5V DC power supplies. The result is a pristine high-definition image at the remotely located HDTV display.

Note:  This device is an HDCP pass-through device.

When CAT-5E is used the maximum distance is 150ft at 1080p or 1920x1200.
